Joshua and I met online in 2013. We got married in 2015; our wedding consisted of decorations that we had made ourselves.
We moved to Cannon Falls in 2017 when we found the location of our dreams!
We have two beautiful children who keep us on our toes!
I was (and always will be) a nurse; but, I am currently staying home to be with our young children. Joshua has a business and marketing degree and works as a manager in a warehouse here in Cannon Falls.
But why "The Dusty Button"? It all started with a homemade Christmas gift for my mother; she is a sewing hobbyist and had been talking about some decor for her sewing room. We designed and created several large wooden buttons with a vinyl saying to go with it.
The rest is history as Josh and I found a love for doing projects and working with wood.
We use reclaimed wood, pallets, scraps, and new wood to create beautiful pieces for your home. All are designed with love and finished to last years in your home.
We have "popular" items available, so are they really unique or special? Yes! Almost all of the designs have been put together by us; little to no purchased stencils used in our work. Many things are hand painted, free hand. So you can be sure that what you are getting is truly a unique and one of a kind piece.
Welcome signs, height charts for children, and farmhouse frames, and buttons are some of our most popular projects. However, we also love doing custom projects! So if you can dream it, we can usually make it!
We are makers and artists. We are crafters. We are learners and students of our trade. We are husband and wife. We are mom and dad. We are regular people.
But, with my grandpa's old workbench, the passion of woodworking, and some paint, we are here in our basement pursuing our dreams!
